UNITE Caribbean owes its origins to the experiences of its founders, who specialise in defining public policies and conducting international cooperation and development assistance projects. Their professional background has allowed them to invest in the Caribbean – establishing partnerships and implementing cooperation projects, which coincide with activities they would have undertaken in technical and diplomatic institutions.
These experiences have provoked the emergence of several needs, expressed particularly by Caribbean private companies and public officials who desire to establish lasting relations among the territories of the region, not only to be able to address common developmental issues (health, education, environment, climate, governance, tourism, etc.) but also to gain access to markets which would otherwise be beyond the reach of regional actors.
UNITE Caribbean originated from the heart of the Caribbean, with a strong ambition to contribute to the development of Caribbean territories through inter-stakeholder cooperation and the mobilisation of regional expertise.
