Strengthening Haiti's National authority to access Climate Finance
Unite Caribbean was selected with Catedel to build the capacity of Haiti’s public authority for climate finance readiness (Green Climate Fund). Unite Caribbean has a long history of collaboration with Catedel, with whom we delivered several consulting services in Haiti. The deliverables will include: an evaluation of gaps in legal framework and governance, recommendations setting, tools development and trainings.
Haiti's Adaptation Communication for CoP 26
Unite Caribbean was contracted by the International Institute for Sustainable Developpement (IISD) to support the Republic of Haiti in developping it Adaptation Communication for the next Cop26 in Glasgow, Scotland.
Unite Caribbean’s role include gathering and analysing the country’s documentation on adaptation, delivering a first draft and producing the finalised AdCom for Haiti, in collaboration with relevant authorities and the NAP Global Network.
Design of a financing process for local public authorities
Unite Caribbean and ESA Consultance will produce detailed, operational and neogotiated recommendations to reform the financing of local public authorities. These recommendations will be addressed to the Ministère de l’intérieur et des collectivités territoriales (MICT) within the framework of the 2021-2022 budget. The consultant team will focus on delivering a framework for consultation, an analysis of the challenges and major issues, and a set of concrete proposals.
