In order to strengthen the FCDO’s understanding of the equality dynamics in the Caribbean and to better identify opportunities to deliver on the UK’s equality priorities in the region, FCDO has mobilised £100,000 from the Evidence Fund to develop a Gender, Equality, Disability and Social Inclusion (GEDSI) Analysis Draw-down Service. Unite Caribbean together with Triple Line Consulting will deliver research from conceptualisation through to delivery of the GEDSI analysis which will include recommendations for policy and action. It is expected that this work will produce at least 3 GEDSI analyses, which will provide greater understanding of the equality dynamics in the Caribbean at local levels and advise on actionable recommendations for policy intervention and future programming of the FCDO.
