Unite Caribbean was commissioned to conduct a comprehensive gender analysis aimed at identifying and addressing gender-specific issues within our targeted initiatives. This analysis followed a structured methodological approach to ensure robust and relevant findings.
1. Desk Study: The initial phase involved a thorough desk study. Unite Caribbean reviewed and analyzed existing background information and relevant documents to establish a foundation for the gender analysis.
2. Baseline Data Collection: The next phase focused on collecting baseline data through participatory methods. We aimed to engage various stakeholders to ensure diverse perspectives are captured. This included:
- *Potential Partner Organizations: Collaborating with organizations that may contribute to or benefit from the project.
- *Representatives of Target Groups: Engaging individuals who are directly affected by the project to gather insights into their experiences and needs.
- *Civil Society Representatives: Involving civil society organizations to capture broader societal perspectives on gender issues.
- *National, Regional, and International Actors: Consulting with various actors to incorporate wider contextual factors affecting gender dynamics.
- *Project Staff (AV-V): Engaging with project staff team to incorporate internal insights and expertise.
- *GIZ Gender Focal Points: Collaborating with GIZ’s gender focal points at the regional level to align the analysis with established gender frameworks.
