Within the framework of the joint roadmap of the Ministry of Labor, Full Employment and Integration and the Ministry of Sport and the Olympic and Paralympic Games “Development of employment and integration through and in sport”, Unite Caribbean was commissioned by the Guadeloupe region to carry out a study to obtain visibility on employment in sport, sports activities and sports tourism in Guadeloupe.

The first step was to produce an analysis note based on the cross-referencing of nomenclature data (URSSAF, INSEE), and statistical data collected from the various stakeholders.

Secondly, Unite Caribbean carried out an online survey of Guadeloupe’s sports facilities. The summary of this survey, as well as qualitative data from additional interviews, were cross-referenced with the Territorial Sport Project (PST) to produce an analysis note on employment and training.

All of this work was then put together to produce a final summary note, providing data on the main employment trends in sport in Guadeloupe. These trends will enable the Region to draw up a multi-year professional and university training plan in synergy with the needs of employing structures.
