National Airport Authority(NAA) – Haiti

The AAN wishes to be able to start the certification process for Toussaint Louverture Airport as soon as possible.

In order to initiate the process, the National Airport Authority requested the support of Unite Caribbean and its network of regional expertise to carry out an assistance and technical assistance mission aimed at :
– To have an up-to-date inventory of the current operating standards of the PAP airport in relation to ICAO standards;
– Have a Corrective Accompaniment Plan (CAP) to initiate the necessary corrective actions to achieve ICAO standards before the certification audit

This support has enabled the AAN to have at its disposal in a few weeks a complete diagnosis of the current standards of Port-au-Prince airport, in terms of infrastructure, equipment, operating procedures and the safety management system, in accordance with ICAO standards.

To achieve the objectives of this support, Unite Caribbean proposed to structure a three-phase approach over the months of January-February 2018, allowing activities to be conducted by alternating the phases of field missions, consolidation/writing, and presentation/ decision.
