As part of the sustainability checks required for projects funded under the 2014–2020 FEDER-FSE programme, Unite Caribbean was engaged by EY to conduct regulatory verifications on nine strategic projects in Guadeloupe. This operational and multisectoral assignment mobilised the firm’s expertise in public project auditing, EU compliance, and technical assessment of infrastructure.

Unite Caribbean’s approach stands out through its dual expertise: strong command of EU regulatory requirements in outermost regions, and deep understanding of Guadeloupe’s territorial realities. This combination supports rigorous verifications while ensuring that analyses reflect geographic, institutional, and economic specificities that affect project sustainability.

The mission involved detailed scoping with the Regional Authority, coordination with project leaders, the organisation and implementation of field visits including photographic evidence, and the preparation of control reports fully aligned with EU standards. The audited projects spanned key sectors such as water management, waste processing, energy efficiency, industrial development, and tourism infrastructure — requiring adaptability and broad technical insights.

Unite Caribbean’s key strengths lie in its responsiveness, strong local anchoring, ability to interface with both public and private stakeholders, and specialised expertise in island infrastructure. By delivering contextualised and robust assessments, Unite Caribbean reinforces transparency and compliance across EU co-funded investments in Guadeloupe.
