Due to their geographic position and the vulnerability of their economies, Caribbean countries and territories face similar economic and social development challenges. To prevent duplicating initiatives and create common sustainable approaches, Unite Caribbean designs, mobilises resources and implements its own regional cooperation projects in partnership with public and private actors.
Unite Caribbean’s initiatives are a practical embodiment of our consulting expertise. They allow us to expand our knowledge of the field while testing innovative solutions for the inclusive and sustainable development of the Caribbean.
Unite Caribbean designed an innovative regional programme to encourage cooperation between civil society organisations in the Caribbean on the issue of climate resilience. 13 grantee projects are being implemented, representing 30 civil society organisations.
In partnership with the NGO Global Sustainable Tourism Council (GSTC), Unite Caribbean worked with tourism stakeholders from the PAIRCC territories for 8 months to define 3 Caribbean Sustainable Tourism criteria grids.
Unite Caribbean is implementing a pilot program to support and strengthen the structuring, management and development capacities of associations in Saint-Martin.
