Unite Caribbean serves as the consortium’s regional circular economy and waste management partner, providing Caribbean-specific expertise, stakeholder engagement support, technical advisory services, and regional capacity-building leadership. The company contributes a team of regional experts with extensive experience in climate resilience, waste management, circular economy policy development, and institutional strengthening across the Caribbean.
Working alongside Dorsch Impact and BlackForest Solutions, Unite Caribbean supports the development and implementation of climate-sensitive circular economy approaches across five Caribbean countries. Activities include conducting national assessments, facilitating stakeholder consultations, supporting the design of circular economy roadmaps, delivering technical workshops and training programmes, strengthening the capacities of national waste authorities, and supporting regional knowledge exchange. Particular emphasis is placed on waste management solutions linked to the tourism and agriculture sectors, climate mitigation opportunities, and the promotion of innovative circular business models.
The project will strengthen the institutional and technical capacities of public and private sector stakeholders to plan, implement and monitor circular economy initiatives. Expected results include the development of six national circular economy approaches, strengthened waste authority capacities, improved regional cooperation, enhanced awareness among businesses and policymakers, and the establishment of practical roadmaps and incentive mechanisms that support climate mitigation, resource efficiency and sustainable economic development throughout the Caribbean.
